has introduced the industry’s most advanced, fully automated and unattended,
on-demand, one off CD-R/DVD-R and business card production and duplication
system. This tabletop system features fast and secure
robotics, 100-disc capacity, and utilizes HP’s award-winning color inkjet
technology: 2400x1200 dpi print resolution. It also carries an unprecedented three-year warranty on robotics—three
times longer than any other warranty in the industry.
The APS 2002 is “the
latest CD/DVD publishing solution developed from our inventor alliance
partnership with HP,” explained Brian McCarthy, Trace Affex vice president of
sales and marketing. “It combines HP’s
full four-color printing that eliminates color separations, film and time with
our proprietary, integrated robotic autoloader technology. Corporate America,
service bureaus and studios get a total, encapsulated solution with
disc-to-disc registrations of +/-0.002” and patent-pending, disc-locking
mechanism with electronic tracking sensors.
The automatic on-the-fly loader calibration allows for continuous
operation, every time.”

ink cartridge life of approximately 600 CDs or DVDs, and the fastest robotic
speeds in the industry.” It also features two high-speed CD/DVD burners that
are fully integrated in-line with the HP printing system utilizing PoINT
Publisher V5 publishing software.
Virtually all
Microsoft Windows operating systems, and NT 4.0/2000 are compatible with the
APS 2002. Minimum system requirements
are Pentium ll, 300Mhz, 64MB RAM and 100MB drive space. Template files provided include Adobe
Illustrator, PhotoShop, Corel Draw and Canvas for use with most graphics
applications. Parallel and USB cables
are included.
MSRP for the APS 2002
is $8500 for CDs, and $9995 for DVDs and CDs.
